...I've been in isolation for the past 5 months away from family and friends.

Hi Dan, great to have you back. Talk us through how you filled your time during lockdown.

 ï»¿ï»¿

Thank you for having me back on Little South. Through the lockdown period I've been concentrating and spending most my time on my music, I've been in isolation for the past 5 months away from family and friends. With having cancer my music has definitely helped in a massive way. In this time I have found a love for progressive / melodic house techno. I can bring more of myself and be more creative in my sets.

Where should you have been playing this summer?

Events I've missed DJing with being in lockdown are the Lizard Party / Frendzy Fest / Factory, more have cancelled clubs bookings for later in the year. But unfortunately for me was finding out that Clockstock Festival 20th June Chelmsford was cancelled. This by far would of been my best highlight for me. Being asked to play for Clockwork Orange Danny Gould and Andy Manston - I'm gutted first time playing on such a huge name in the club world playing alongside some of the world's most finest Dj's.

We explore the thoughts of artists and music sharing. In today's digital age, discovering new music has become more accessible than ever due to online platforms like Spotify, SoundCloud, and download services such as Beatport. While traditional methods of exploring music, such as visiting record shops, have diminished in popularity, the process of musical exploration remains significant and enriching, especially when one encounters a standout track. For performing artists, the quest for fresh music is a continuous endeavor, often regarded as equally important as the performance itself. This raises an interesting question: is it appropriate for artists to keep the details of their music sources confidential? This topic invites further discussion from some of the South West DJs and producers on the nature of music discovery in the modern landscape.
