Artist Interview

"2020 is going to be the year that I make time and get back to doing what I love - playing quality house music at parties!"

Hi, please introduce yourself to those unfamiliar with your work.

Hi, I'm Matt - Little South founder and huge lover of house music. Having had to scale back my live DJ work due to other work commitments, I still keep a close eye on the South West dance music scene. 2020 is going to be the year that I make time and get back to doing what I love - playing quality house music at parties!

How would you describe your DJ sound?

I started out years ago playing hard dance music and although the style got me into DJing, it really wasn't what I loved to play. Influences such as Pete Tong, Stuart Price, Fatboy Slim and Paul Woolford back in the early 2000's meant that my love for house music grew and grew. My current sound is deeper and progressive but if I like a track I will find some way of getting into my sets!

Talk through your podcast mix.

This mix is my first podcast mix for a couple of years. It features some remixes of well known tunes such as Madonna's Vogue and also some lesser known tracks which have been personal favourites over the years. I really enjoyed taking the time to create this mix and I hope that you enjoy listening to it.
