At present I mainly play live gigs when in Spain across the Costa Blanca's best dance music venues...

Hi, please introduce yourself to those unfamiliar with your work.

I am based in South Manchester and live part time in Spain on the Costa Blanca. I have been a DJ for over 25 years and have played at numerous high profile events in the UK including the Creamfields Festival and the BPM Expo. At present I mainly play live gigs when in Spain across the Costa Blanca's best dance music venues including the BrewRock Beach Club, the Oceana Club, Floridita and El Martillo.

I currently hold two radio residencies on the UK's Quantum Radio and Beach Radio with my shows on a monthly and fortnightly basis respectively. I specialise in global podcasts and have had mixes featured on the following channels over the last 18 months:-

Melodic Deep (Holland)

Deep House IT (Italy)

Get Lost In Music (Malta)

Deep House Dubai (Dubai)

Deep House Spain (Spain)

Ottawa Prog Vibes (Canada)

Melodic Beats Music (UK)

Hot House Hours (Australia)

Non Stop House Podcast (Brazil)

In Progress (Brazil)

IONized (Canada)

I have also supplied special guest mixes for a number of global radio shows as follows:-

Settumps Radio (Colombia)

Tespis Radio (Argentina)

Ibiza Stardust (Ibiza)

RadioDeepMode (Holland)

Timeless Radio (Argentina)

Saturo Sounds (UK)

How have you utilised the 2020/21 lockdowns?

With the temporary closure of clubs and inability to travel and play live gigs in Spain, I have taken on a number of regular radio residencies as well as supplying guest mixes for leading global dance music stations. I have also engaged with a series of multiple high profile podcasts in order to broadcast my latest music to a global audience.

The lockdowns have provided a very useful opportunity for social networking where I have made a lot of very good new connections with DJs/producers involved with progressive house and melodic techno. Of particular note has been my engagement with Plymouth's awesome Melodic Beats Music podcast and record label fronted by Paul Honey alongside Tim French and DJ Apostille. I have showcased two mixes on their podcast to date and hope to play for Melodic Beats at a live event in 2022.

I have spent a lot of time in my studio preparing mixes for the various radio shows and podcasts; I am fortunate that being forced to stay at home hasn't prevented me from doing what I love!

I always focus on delivering musical journeys throughout my sets...

Describe your DJ style.

I play melodic progressive house blended with organic house and melodic techno depending upon the requirements of a particular show or event. I always focus on delivering musical journeys throughout my sets with detailed transitions and complex soundscapes and enjoy blending melodies, intricate percussion and driving basslines in my mixes.

Talk us through your podcast mix track selection.

The set I have prepared for Little South features some of my favourite recent melodic progressive house tracks. As ever, the mix is a musical journey from more ambient, melancholy vibes through to higher energy progressive tracks moving towards avant garde progressive vibes towards the end. I really enjoyed preparing the set which I think showcases my style perfectly and hope that everyone enjoys listening to it!
