Halloween Masked Ball 2022

November 5th 2022

Helston, Cornwall

The Halloween Masked Ball is back taking over the grounds of Flambards theme park located in the Southerly tip of Cornwall. The event is known for the mix of live music, themed dance tents and decor. Attracting an up for it crowd, it is no shock that this event runs right through until the following morning. Expect musical shocks from Hospitality, foul beats from the Noise Pollution crew and beastly characters at the Dirty Disco.

What the organisers say

THE YEAR IS 2022. Robot dogs roam the streets outside Los Flambardos beside police officers guarding vaccine centres. A decentralised currency is revolutionising the economy. Digital citizenship and your 178th covid jab await you whilst billionaires commercialise space to escape the earth-shattering climate crisis.

Imagine 'The Purge'; Government officials are allowing a no-holes-barred rave to placate the masses. Join us from 6pm till 6am; for a total of 12 hours across 12 frenzied zones in a dark, extreme vision of the future where the ballers revel in capitalist excess to the sounds of Drum & Bass, Techno and 1984 cheese...

Huge shout-out to all the promoters who have worked tirelessly to help us pull this together!

We explore the thoughts of artists and music sharing. In today's digital age, discovering new music has become more accessible than ever due to online platforms like Spotify, SoundCloud, and download services such as Beatport. While traditional methods of exploring music, such as visiting record shops, have diminished in popularity, the process of musical exploration remains significant and enriching, especially when one encounters a standout track. For performing artists, the quest for fresh music is a continuous endeavor, often regarded as equally important as the performance itself. This raises an interesting question: is it appropriate for artists to keep the details of their music sources confidential? This topic invites further discussion from some of the South West DJs and producers on the nature of music discovery in the modern landscape.
