I have always had a love for music...

Hi, Please introduce yourself to those unfamiliar with your DJ life.

I am one of the Resident DJs for Dancership, I have been Djing for the bulk of my life from school discos at the ripe old age of 9 through to present day being lucky enough to regularly play alongside some of the industries biggest names and brands. working in leisure during my early career for national giant First leisure I had the oportuniy to play various different cluns and styles to all sorts of crowds. I have always had a love for music and the buzz of playing something that makes people smile can't be beaten.

Describe your DJ sound.

I have always enjoyed the vocal uplifting tunes, some may say cheesy.... I say fun. this works well with the outside element of the events we run with Dancership and ties in with the teams individualities to provide the ideal structure for an all day party. Im not afraid to play anything if i feel the crowd will enjoy it.

I really enjoyed playing many of the tracks from this mix...

Tell us how you have kept busy during the last year or so of lockdowns.

I'm pretty busy with my day job managing the Drake Circus / Barcode Estate as Property services manager so lockdown actually was the ideal opportunity to have work completed. if anything I was more busy then ever. Dancership were able to run a few events outdoors and seated which was a challenge but something that very few managed, I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to be involved with those and get to play out while so many others had bookings disapear completely.

Talk us through this podcast episode and why you have chosen to include the tracks that have made the cut.

A couple of weeks ago I played for HedKandi warming up for TJ Byham at Plymouth Lido , I enjoy the warm ups and asscociated challenges with choosing the right tracks a the right time. It is a new venue for us and we never know what to expect, the set was completely off the cuff and work well leaving Tim with a decent fill of dancing happy people. I really enjoyed playing many of the tracks from this mix so have kept them in for a second outing.
