We explore the thoughts of artists and music sharing. In today's digital age, discovering new music has become more accessible than ever due to online platforms like Spotify, SoundCloud, and download services such as Beatport. While traditional methods of exploring music, such as visiting record shops, have diminished in popularity, the process of musical exploration remains significant and enriching, especially when one encounters a standout track. For performing artists, the quest for fresh music is a continuous endeavor, often regarded as equally important as the performance itself. This raises an interesting question: is it appropriate for artists to keep the details of their music sources confidential? This topic invites further discussion from some of the South West DJs and producers on the nature of music discovery in the modern landscape.

Leroy Solid Drum And Bass Mix

Episode 17/19 | Leroy | Podcast Mixes

A man singing into a microphone with the words podcast mixes leroy episode 17/19

It is always treat to have one of the South West's most dynamic drum and bass DJs deliver an exclusive DJ mix for us. Leroyrepresents his speciality genre with a solid drum and bass mix featuring tracks that he is loving right now.

Leroy says
This mix is a good cross section of what myself & Cozzie Watt have been playing out recently, I don't really bother trying to define the sub genres of DNB any longer, so basically if the tune made the cut, it means I am digging it, so hopefully you will too!

It has been really refreshing to see lots of new music and artists emerging in the scene once more, and I can only encourage everyone on the scene to keep pushing, its a South West ting!

In no particular order, big shouts to Cozzie Watt, Tuskan, ReDefeat, Jack the Ripper, Devinyl, Wye Fi, Mr Nice, Spin Ez, Agony, Westman, Johnski, Ed & Talis, Sinprint, Max Zimma,, BulletProof Records as well as the Dubphonics & Retaliation crews. We old timers see you all, keep it up!

"...if the tune made the cut, it means I am digging it..."

Since we last spoke, myself and my good lady have been out and about in the South West, playing The Lizard Party, the awesome DNB night in Newquay following the cancellation of BM 2019. Frendzy was brilliant, we played there only last night, so you are lucky I am working today rather than enjoying a lie in!

Personally I have been busy in the studio, trying to increase my production abilities, with some success so far which is encouraging! I have included a couple of my tracks in the mix. I am pretty sure you will spot them. Find me on Soundcloud.
