Fatboy Slim To Play Live In The Wyldes

Fatboy Slim has been announced as the first headliner for the 'Live In The Wyldes' gig series near Bude, North Cornwall. The Last time Norman Cook played on a Cornish stage was in 2011 where he headlined the main stage of the Boardmasters festival.

No-one brings the party quite like Fatboy Slim. The superstar DJ is responsible for some of the biggest dance hits over the past twenty years. His unique brand of Party Acid House has spread around the world being played on dancefloors everywhere and in constant demand for film and television. Fatboy Slim’s time is Right Here Right Now.

Fatboy Slim has earned 10 MTV Video Music Awards 2 Brit Awards.

Norman Quentin Cook originally worked as the bassist for phenomenal Hull band The Housemartins, who scored two Top 10 Album hits with London 0 Hull 4 and The People Who Grinned Themselves To Death.

After the band’s split in 1988 Cook’s second project was Beats International with whom he scored the massive 1990 hit single Dub Be Good To Me which enjoyed four weeks at #1 in the UK Singles Chart.

In 1996 Cook adopted the moniker of Fat Boy Slim and released the album Better Living Through Chemistry. However, it was the 1998 album You’ve Come A Long Way, Baby that was his real breakthrough, featuring the massive tunes Gangster Tripping, Right Here, Right Now, The Rockafeller Skank and Praise You.

Cook’s other huge albums include Halfway Between The Gutter And The Stars in 2000, Palookaville in 2004 and Here Lies Love in 2010.

Other work has included producing two albums by Gene and the Blur album Think Tank.
