Please introduce yourself to those unfamiliar with your DJ sound.

Symbiosis DJ/Producer duo from Plymouth. We are known for high energy sets with a tribal feel. Expect popping percussion, heavy bass lines & grooves to move your feet all night long.

What are your highlights of the past year and what is planned for the future?

We had a fantastic year of growth last year with the one of the main highlights being us performing at Boardmasters on the iconic ‘the point’ stage. We also had the amazing opportunity of playing a huge sold out Casa Corithian & supporting the likes of Ben Hemsley, Danny Howard and more throughout the year. Moving forward we are really focusing on production and getting our music and our sound out to the masses. Looking forward to seeing what 2024 brings.

Tell us something positive to inspire future artists.

We’ve always been passionate about music and wanting becoming DJs was a huge part of that. We learnt from our experience so far that if you want something go out there and get it. We’ve gone from Bedroom DJS to a recognisable name within the scene in the South West due to passion. Go out there and get it.

What artists have inspired your DJ style?

We have been heavy influence by loads of artists within the scene from the like of Patrick Topping, Dennis Cruz & Annie Mac to local legends like Aldo Vanucci, Flambe, Casa & the crew we surround ourselves with.

Talk us through your podcast mix track selection.

With our mix for Little South we wanted to show a few styles of the music we like to play. From house to tech house to tribal and back to house. We really like to incorporate other sub genres within our sets to keep the listener guessing. We wanted to include some of our own productions within this mix and you can hear tracks such as Vamos, Keep it rocking & 90125. We hope you enjoy this hour journey & we want to say a massive thank you to Little South for giving us the opportunity.

Making her Little South debut, Sugarshaker is no stranger to the South West dance music scene having played at clubs and festivals across the region. The curators of the West Cornwall raves are currently preparing for their next event scheduled for May 2025. This event will take place in the fields of West Cornwall, near the village of Zennor. A lineup of DJs, including Ambassador 626 Kavos, Charlie M, Deckhead, DJ Brady, Lady Embrace, Ste Ellis, and Steve Lid, among others, will be performing. The event is a collaborative effort involving prominent dance music promotion groups such as Raw Rotation, Inception, Kernow Rave Culture, and TNT.
