July 27th 2019 | The Terrace, Plymouth

A green poster with the words sai little south on it

Plymouth has an exciting outdoor music venue taking dance music to a position overlooking the fabulous Plymouth Sound. The Terrace bar is situated on the waterside of Plymouth Hoe. Club promoters DancersHip have booked house music duo Saison to play on July 27th 2019.

DancersHip say:
With tunes signed to Toolroom, Suara and Defected, not to mention their many releases on Large records, and their own imprint No Fuss Records currently tearing up top tens and DJ selections all over Beatport and Traxsource.

DancersHip are thrilled to present Saison for their first ever play in the Southwest at one of the UK's finest waterside locations, the Terrace.

Expect deep, rolling chugg and hip driven continuous groove from Defected's hottest new signing, and one of the warmest and friendly dance floors in the city. House music as 'Jack' intended by the Sea.

Support from long time Pacha Ibiza resident Steve Bell on his return to Plymouth's foreshore and DH rezzies Flambé and The Nut Thief.

Sun Sets as ever from balearic maestro Steve Power from 2pm and we've got the fastest fingers in the Southwest once more with live percussionist King King

"Expect deep, rolling chugg and hip driven continuous groove from Defected's hottest new signing, and one of the warmest and friendly dance floors in the city."

DancersHip say:
Disco drenched beats, soulful throbby nuggets and feel good house for the hip thrust enthusiast. DancersHip is there for anyone who wants a drink and a dance, some honey kissed grooves and a great 'no aggro' atmosphere and a proper pelvic workout. Feel good house as it should be!

The evening is non pretentious and a bit of fun for all to enjoy as the weekend reaches its zenith!

We're trying to make the music accessible to as many as possible with the night's sounds ranging from disco funk through soulful house to nu-indie disco and a bit of funky tech house when we can get away with it!

The little south logo is on a blue background.

We explore the thoughts of artists and music sharing. In today's digital age, discovering new music has become more accessible than ever due to online platforms like Spotify, SoundCloud, and download services such as Beatport. While traditional methods of exploring music, such as visiting record shops, have diminished in popularity, the process of musical exploration remains significant and enriching, especially when one encounters a standout track. For performing artists, the quest for fresh music is a continuous endeavor, often regarded as equally important as the performance itself. This raises an interesting question: is it appropriate for artists to keep the details of their music sources confidential? This topic invites further discussion from some of the South West DJs and producers on the nature of music discovery in the modern landscape.
