Making her Little South debut, Sugarshaker is no stranger to the South West dance music scene having played at clubs and festivals across the region. We caught up with Sugarshaker where we learned about her DJ history and past and future residencies!

In 2024, a total of 24 podcast mix episodes were released, showcasing a variety of genres including breakbeat, liquid drum and bass, house, trance, and techno. Due to the high caliber of artists featured throughout the year, competition was intense. However, one artist stood out, achieving over 56,000 plays globally. Trance heavyweight DJ and producer Ferry Corsten is scheduled to perform at the Exeter Move nightclub on January 25, 2025. The event will also feature various artists, including Nick The Kid, Joey Rogers, Allister Whitehead, and Adam Green. The nightclub offers an intimate atmosphere, allowing attendees to be steps meters away from the DJ decks. Boasting a stomping high-fidelity sound system credit to the bespoke-built and finely-tuned Funktion-One sound system, set within an underground environment. Pendennis Castle in Falmouth will be the venue for a unique outdoor event featuring orchestral renditions of dance anthems, scheduled for September 2025. A large stage will be constructed within the castle grounds, providing a scenic backdrop for the occasion. Attendees of all ages are welcome to bring picnic supplies and enjoy an evening of iconic house and trance music performed by a live orchestra. This event promises to blend the historical setting of Pendennis Castle with the vibrant energy of orchestral dance music.

In our catch up with Louk, he discusses his recent venture into mentoring emerging dance music artists, shedding light on his new role in the industry.

Strobe nightclub have made a big announcement that non other than trance and techno stalwart Mauro Picotto will headline one of their summer club nights! The 'Lizard Man' himself helped shape the 90s dance music scene. This is sure to be an event of the year you don't want to miss!

Kicking off dance music proceedings for 2022 is Aaron Cook - who is no stranger to the South West dance music scene. Aaron's mix takes a thumping journey of house music through to some notes of trance. We catch up with Aaron who explains that despite the majority of nightlife being shutdown in recent years, he has still been busy booking DJs!

West Cornwall electronic music producer gives us a taste of what he's been working on during lockdown.

It's been too long since one of Plymouth's most beautiful dance music venues has been able to open it's doors to welcome quality dance music. The Terrace will play host to non-other than Jody Wisternoff on August 15th 2020. Regularly featuring on Anjunabeats line ups at London's Printworks venue, Jody Wisternoff will play an outdoor set as the sun sets over Plymouth Sound.

We sent Lisa our event reviewer to Newquay to catch one of the best-loved 90s dance music DJs, Dave Pearce who was headlining affairs.
