We explore the thoughts of artists and music sharing. In today's digital age, discovering new music has become more accessible than ever due to online platforms like Spotify, SoundCloud, and download services such as Beatport. While traditional methods of exploring music, such as visiting record shops, have diminished in popularity, the process of musical exploration remains significant and enriching, especially when one encounters a standout track. For performing artists, the quest for fresh music is a continuous endeavor, often regarded as equally important as the performance itself. This raises an interesting question: is it appropriate for artists to keep the details of their music sources confidential? This topic invites further discussion from some of the South West DJs and producers on the nature of music discovery in the modern landscape.

...we want to send love & positivity to all our music loving friends!

Hi, great to have you featured - please introduce yourself to our readers.

Yo Little South! Once again, thanks for having me feature on your Podcast! For those who don't know me, I am DJ Leroy, South West DNB DJ, Promoter & Apprentice Producer!

Talk us through how you filled your time during the lockdown.

It has been a very strange time in the DJ world over the last 12 months or more with live gigs cancelled and the move to online streams. This has meant lots of artists are struggling to get by or have had to move onto other industries to make a living. Unprecedented timed indeed.

I am one of the lucky ones who has managed to secure full time employment, in addition to keeping our diary bookings honoured for the coming months & years. Without a doubt, we want to send love & positivity to all our music loving friends!

I feel it is a solid hour of head nodders & big tunes doing the business right now.

Talk us through your podcast mix track selection.

So, onto the mix.... with this one I decided to roll through with a less busy mixing style, to give the tracks a bit more space to breathe, and have added some newer styles of DNB coming through right now. From Hip Hop infused flavours on the intro through to ragga & dancefloor influences on the tail end.

I feel it is a solid hour of head nodders & big tunes doing the business right now.

My Wife (Cozzie Watt) & I have been busy tinkering on the production also, but finding time is always the issue! I have been lucky enough to have a track signed to Low Profile Radio, "I Went To The Jungle" which can be found on their Soundcloud page.

Feel free to keep up with me at the usual social media spots:

We want to send a shout out to all the SW gang, keep the faith, and keep pushing our scene forwards!

We very much look forward to seeing you all at a real event soon!

Big love!
