BTP have managed to book live Jazz Hip Hop legends The Herbaliser to play on mazey Eve Friday June 22nd 2018.
The Herbaliser who are on a European tour to promote the launch of their new album "Bring Out The Sound" have added Penzance to their list of tour destinations. Nestled between much bigger cities such as Hamburg, Prague, Berlin London and Paris Penzance certainly stands out!
‘Its a bit surreal seeing Penzance alongside those major cities and we're well chuffed to have such a well known band coming right down to Penzance especially as they've just launched a new album this is going to be a special night!” They’ll be getting here just in the middle of their tour and will be nicely warmed up to deliver some world class hip hop and jazz for your pleasure!
Saturday 23rd Sees Global Dance music legend Danny Rampling hitting the turntables with some classic house tunes, curve balls and bangers! Danny has promised to get the crowd jumping! Rampling is credited as one of the first DJs to bring the Ibiza sound to the U.K. and is bona fide dance music royalty! You do not want to miss this night
The rest of the weekend is free and starts on Thursday night with the most anarchic display of democracy with the mock mayor elections with music from El Niño, Hanterhir and The Oddfolk. This night is Penzance at its most wonderfully weird! Come and be part of the mayhem!
FuMan Who and Dave Spenceley will be supporting the Herbaliser on Friday night with their unique blend of hip hop, breakbeat and all things funky.
Mazey Day at the Marquee Marquee kicks off at around 1pm with El Niño, followed by Ska sensation the Skaturians, Golowan favourites Die Spangle will be making some noise at around 5pm. After 7pm the ticketed event starts with Ashley Thomas and Ry Spenceley supporting Danny Rampling on Saturday Night.
Finally Quay fair day on the Sunday 24th is a fun filled day for all the family kicking off at 1pm with Vicky Abbot and her new choir Tuesday Night Fun Club, then acoustic Duo Old Friends, next up is Hannah Johnson, followed by Sandy Acre 7 and the Slapdash Trio will also be making an appearance!
The end of the Golowan weekend is garnished with some records spun by none other than Soul Brother Noah, King Louis and Dance Armstrong.
